Beautycounter
I’ve been using Beautycounter for a while now in my transition to safer, cleaner, non-toxic living. Beautycounter has a line of personal care products that I feel confident about. They have really done theie homework. They provide products that are not just “clean”, they also work! So, today I’m excited to share with you about this amazingly clean company and all of their beautiful products!
Did you know?
- The European Union has banned over 1300 ingredients from cosmetics yet the US has only banned or restricted 11.
- Scientific studies have shown that exposure to toxic chemicals play a role in the prevalence of many diseases and disorders in the US. (Side note, I recently read The Cancer Code by Dr. Jason Fung, which I highly recommend)
- The US has not passed a federal law regulating the cosmetic industry since 1938.
Meanwhile, Beautycounter is not only holding a higher standard, they are also stiving to change the cosmetic industry.
Beautycounter, has committed to a health and safety standard that goes well beyond what is legally required in the United States. Their Never List is made up of more than 1,800 questionable or harmful chemicals that they never use as ingredients in their products. This includes the over 1,400 chemicals banned or restricted in personal care products by the European Union, plus additional chemicals screened by Beautycounter and found to be of concern.
A lot of companies are now labeling their products as “phtalate and paraben free”. While these are positive steps in the right direction, their products can sometimes have other harmful ingredients. Check out just some of the ingredients that Beautycounter will never add to their beauty products…

I am so thankful I’ve changed my skin care and beauty routine!
Beautycounter has everything from shampoo and conditioner, to lotions and makeup.
They have so many amazing products but here are my current top 4 favorites!
Beyond Gloss: I have yet to find a lip gloss I love more than Beautycounter’s Beyond Gloss. It goes on smooth, and isn’t sticky. I have this lip gloss in quite few different shades.
Charcoal + Counter Face Mask: This was the very first product I bought from Beautycounter and I was sold! I just love how amazing my skin feels after using this charcoal mask. It gently exfoiliates and smooths the skins surface.
Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer: I LOVE the sun and I know the importance of vitamin D but I try to protect my face as much as possible. I am in love with this tinted moisturizer for an everyday light coverage look. It’s SPF 20 so I get sun protection, moisturizer, and a dewy even complection all in one product. I feel so moisturized and fresh when I’m wearing this product. I don’t feel the need for any other foundation or concealer. It’s a wonderful “everyday” look. I have it in 3 different shades (Fair, Light, and Medium). I mix 2 different shades at a time depending on the season to find my perfect match. Right now, it’s the dead of winter so a pump or two from Fair and Light are perfect to get me through the day looking refreshed.
Counter + Overnight Resurfacing Peel: I recently started using this product and it’s wonderful. I love the tingling feeling when I apply it at night. I also love that while Beautycounter uses quality clean ingredients they also have products that work. They test their products to make sure people are happy with the results. And here is what people said…
